This type of controlled transport can be used to deliver vaccines, clinical trial material, tissue, blood, blood derivatives, organs, etc. Transportation is performed with specially adapted vehicles, which maintain cold environment all the way from collection of your cargo to the target destination.
- Your delivery will be accomplished within three or six hours after your order has been placed. This applies for Ljubljana, IOC Trzin, Maribor, Celje or the entire territory of Slovenia.
Each shipment is treated individually. City Express offers guidance in selecting the appropriate active or passive cooling/hitting system.
- Vehicles that are used for cold chain transport are equipped with temperature monitoring devices and devices for generating real-time reports. Such reports enable to analyze entire shipping profile from beginning to end.
- Temperature zone is set according to transport type most commonly used are:
- room temperature
- cooled transport 2-8°C
- frozen transport -20°C
- dry ice transport -80°C - Solid carbon dioxide, is about -80°C and is capable of keeping a shipment frozen for an extended period of time. It is particularly used for the shipping of pharmaceuticals, dangerous goods and foodstuffs. Dry ice does not melt, instead it sublimates when it comes in contact with air.

- Size of shipments:
- For oversized shipments with the exceeded volumetric weight, the actual weight will be recalculated as the following formula:
- Height (cm) x width (cm) x length (cm) / 6000 = weight (kg)
- On Demand and scheduled services:
- Scheduled services are performed by contract arrangement every day at the same time or preorder at least 1 business day before the service
- On demand services are executed in the shortest amount of time from placing your order (by call or email)

- If during your regular business process a driver shortage appears, because of sick leave, vacation or increased traffic, our staff outsourcing service is the best solution for you, to overcome your driver shortage.
